so my sip subscription is ending and so it’s yet another time for me to evaluate the state of color picker apps for macos lol. i liked sip because it was fast and precise and easy to use (my favorite feature is that you can click on part of the menu bar icon and it takes you straight to the color picker view since i struggle to memorize global shortcuts), and every alternative i found when i last checked things felt slow and clunky. but sip is just so expensive now and it’s hard to justify this cost for a color picker, so what should i try now? please help cohost
hey y’all what’s that one puzzle adventure game that just fucking sucks. the one where you’re given a computer to keep track of little snippets for puzzles you need to solve but it can only hold 10 at a time so you’re still forced to just write everything you come across down and also the combat sucks ass. i can’t find it but i wanna send it to a friend because i think it’d be funny. you have a whip
i think the key difference between cohost and twitter is that on twitter i’d follow someone cos they’re influential (to me), and then i’d learn their normal posts are good. on cohost i’ll follow someone because they make good posts that i like a lot and then i find out that they created a game i like or something i use a lot or something like that. this has happened at least 3 times now

i think everyone has some really hot takes about this question, so i think we have plenty of room to make this our new inescapable world where everyone needs to voice their opinion lest they be seen as being on the wrong side.
for an anticapitalist, i really like products. i think it’s really neat how much work we as a society put in to making things that are really neat and cool and interesting. i love it when people from all sorts of niche hobbies go around examining a wide swath of products to carefully compare the subtle differences in quality and vibe. i love the way these objects are designed, from the utilitarian to the minimalist to the maximalist. and i also really love it when people learn and feel out how these products work into their life, and what types of things matter to them, and what kinds don’t. i know that this isn’t an uncommon opinion; we’re groomed at a young age to cultivate a reverence for products, strong associations between brands, and a passion for consumerism, and i know that i’ve gotten sucked into it into that mindset. but even then, i’ll still find it endlessly fascinating.
